Assessment and Recommendations for the Wyoming DEQ Statewide Monitoring Network

Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ)
Sonoma Technology conducted a network assessment for the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) statewide criteria pollutant and meteorological monitoring network. State networks are required to perform a network assessment every five years to determine whether their ambient air quality monitoring network meets federal regulations and to decide how best to place and relocate monitoring stations throughout the state. As part of this effort, Sonoma Technology performed gridded emissions inventory development and data, meteorological, and population analyses. The results from the assessment helped guide future monitoring practices and instrument placement decisions.
