Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD)
Sonoma Technology designed, implemented, and continues to operate an upper-air meteorological network in the San Francisco Bay Area to support BAAQMD on a variety of air quality applications. Sonoma Technology delivers quality-controlled data to the BAAQMD on a continuous, hourly basis.

Using the upper-air measurements, Sonoma Technology provides meteorological and air quality modeling, daily particulate matter and ozone forecasting, and emergency response for unhealthy air quality events. Sonoma Technology also uses the data to support prescribed burn decisions, inform rule development, and meet EPA Photochemical Assessment Monitoring Stations (PAMS) requirements.
