For more information about our culture, visit <a href="" target="_blank"></a href>.</p> Sonoma Technology is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.</p> <b>Key Responsibilities</b> <ul><li>Assess facility operations and conduct emissions assessments to support air quality impact analyses and address complex environmental problems to meet our clients’ research, regulatory, and litigation support needs.</li> <li>Research, review, and analyze relevant air quality regulations, emissions data, and emission control technologies.</li> <li>Conduct engineering evaluations of air pollution sources and estimate air emissions using scientific and/or regulatory best practices.</li> <li>Use modeling and engineering analysis to recommend approaches to ensure compliance with air quality regulations.</li> <li>Prepare technical reports and communicate results to clients.</li> <li>Work with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced consulting environment.</li></ul> <b>Required Qualifications and Skills</b> <ul><li>A degree in environmental science/engineering or related discipline, with at least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of industrial air emissions, emission data resources, and emissions calculations for input into air quality models.</li> <li>Knowledge of National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) and air quality regulations.</li> <li>Strong data analysis and computer skills.</li> <li>Familiarity with calculating mobile source emissions.</li> <li>Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Ability and willingness to learn through on-the-job internal and external training.</li></ul> <b>Desired Qualifications</b> <ul><li>Experience using dispersion models (e.g., with AERMOD) to conduct air quality analyses.</li> <li>Knowledge of air pollution control technologies, including technical and economic feasibility of pollution controls.</li> <li>Experience with evaluating toxic chemicals and industrial facilities.</li> <li>Familiarity with transportation emissions modeling tools (e.g., EMFAC, OFFROAD, or MOVES).</li> <li>Familiarity with health risk assessment methodologies.</li> <li>Past experience working with government agencies or air quality authorities.</li> <li>Experience with the U.S. EPA National Emissions Inventory.</li> <li>Familiarity with regulatory programs such as New Source Review, Prevention of Significant Deterioration, and Best Available Control Technology (BACT) determinations.</li> <li>Experience with a data science and analysis platform (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, IDL).</li></ul> <b>Submitting a Résumé</b><br> No phone calls, please.
