For more information about our culture, visit <a href="http://www.sonomatech.com/charter" target="_blank">www.sonomatech.com/charter</a href>.</p> Sonoma Technology is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.</p> <b>Key Responsibilities</b> <ul><li>Routinely forecast air quality using observational data, statistical tools, and guidance from meteorological and air quality models</li> <li>Conduct detailed analyses of boundary-layer, synoptic, and mesoscale weather conditions associated with air pollution</li> <li>Work on special research projects to address scientific objectives regarding meteorology and air quality</li> <li>Assist with operational projects that include reviewing meteorological and air quality data, and coordinating with government organizations and the media</li> <li>Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Participate in business development activities related to air quality and meteorology</li> <li>Present research results at air quality and meteorological conferences, and author reports and journal papers</li></ul> <b>Required Qualifications and Skills</b> <ul><li>A degree in meteorology or another environmental science with coursework in meteorology</li> <li>Two or more years of working experience in meteorology (preferred)</li> <li>Practical understanding of meteorological processes and phenomena</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; databases; and a programming language such as R, Matlab, Python, SQL, or ArcGIS</li> <li>Impeccable level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing</li> <li>Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Aptitude for working both collaboratively and independently, as required</li></ul> <b>Submitting a Résumé</b><br> No phone calls, please.
